The new divorce/separation buzz word in 2014 was “Conscious Uncoupling”, made famous by the separation of Gwyenth Paltrow and Chris Martin. But what exactly is “Conscious Uncoupling?” Psychotherapist and author Katherine Woodward Thomas describes it as “a proven process for lovingly completing a relationship that will leave you feeling whole and healed and at peace.” There can’t be a better way than this to end a relationship, especially if you have children. Our partners have been in our lives for a reason, a season, or a lesson, supporting our evolution of ourselves and the evolution of our children. The idea of uncoupling as an alternative to a nasty divorce has been around since the 1970s. It is rooted in how to part amicably, keeping mutual respect as part of the process and remembering the needs of any children involved. This is the goal of San Diego Legal Documents.
