The new divorce/separation buzz word in 2014 was “Conscious Uncoupling”, made famous by the separation of Gwyenth Paltrow and Chris Martin.  But what exactly is “Conscious Uncoupling?”  Psychotherapist and author Katherine Woodward Thomas describes it as “a proven process for lovingly completing a relationship that will leave you feeling whole and healed and at peace.”  There can’t be a better way than this to end a relationship, especially if you have children.  Our partners have been in our lives for a reason, a season, or a lesson, supporting our evolution of ourselves and the evolution of our children.  The idea of uncoupling as an alternative to a nasty divorce has been around since the 1970s.  It is rooted in how to part amicably, keeping mutual respect as part of the process and remembering the needs of any children involved.  This is the goal of San Diego Legal Documents.  We would like to support you through this process and while emotions may escalate at times, if both parties can keep this idea as their common ground, the process will be smoother, will keep both parties more financially whole, and will set their children up for success.  It is only during this process that loving co-parenting can be created and families do not need to be broken by the divorce.  Children are imitators by nature, and we teach what we are.  If we are to raise a more conscious generation, we must model those behaviors through the choices we make.

We have partners in the community to support you through this process.  You are not alone.

“Nichole Wilkinson at San Diego Legal Documents helped my wife and I navigate through the messy divorce process, while continuing to remind us that our daughter was the most important part aspect.  I really appreciated how she took an interest in our family and what was best for all of us.  San Diego Legal Documents helps mediate and prepare documents, they are very knowledgeable, and saved us tons of money on attorney fees.  Thank you!” – Andy F.

“I had absolutely no idea what a divorce entailed. My situation was very straightforward but found it daunting when I tried to go about it myself. After some research I contacted Keeley and she was such a great help. She walked us through the entire process and always responded to all of our questions and concerns promptly. She is knowledgeable, detailed, and we were both impressed with how quickly she took care of all of the documents and filings and how easy everything was. Keeley saved me so much time and money and alleviated the stress associated with divorce. I would absolutely recommend her services, I am so pleased with everything. Divorce is a difficult, emotional endeavor and to have someone trustworthy walk you through everything step by step was invaluable.” – Leigh C.
